Nakisanze Segawa recites Omukazi Omusufu, a rendition of Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman

African Women Development Fund, in partnership with Uganda Women Writers’ Association (Femrite) held their first non-fiction writing workshop in Kampala. For 10 days in July 2014, twenty-six women writers from ten African countries came together in Entebbe.

On 30th July, they all came out to Kampala and held a public dialogue titled: “African Women Speaking For Ourselves; What Difference Does It Make?”

At this event, we recorded Nakisanze Segawa reciting Omukazi Omusufu, a Luganda rendition of Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman.
